Kidney/Renal Sparing Wellness Box

$49.95

Adding fruits and vegetables to your diet may help preserve kidney function for those suffering from chronic kidney disease. The kidneys keep fluid balance in the body by reabsorbing nutrients such as sodium and water. Fruits and vegetables, along with the kidneys, stimulate the removal of toxins. It is one of the hardest working organs in the body and when compromised, it can create many other health issues.

Your kidneys have many roles in keeping you healthy. They remove wastes, toxins and excess fluid, help control blood pressure and other essential reactions, help produce red blood cells, and keep your bones healthy. Once damaged, kidneys have a difficult time getting rid of the waste and fluid formed from digestion and tissue rebuilding, causing a buildup of waste and toxins in the blood stream leading to high blood pressure, anemia, weakened bones, declined nutritional status, as well as possible nerve damage.

Fruits and vegetables provide our bodies with antioxidants, who are our first line of defense against invading free radicals. Without them, our body tissues and organs would be defenseless against free radicals and severe damage could occur. For example, free radicals and toxins that permeate throughout the body may enhance disease progression such as chronic kidney disease. Luckily, fruits and vegetables provide us with these phytochemicals that fight free radicals.*
